The Native Morning Iris, Orthrosanthus multiflorus is a clumping plant with Iris-like foliage to and form to 50cm originating from South Australia and Western Australia. The flowers are delicate and six petalled in a pale mauve to blue to 3cm and presented on stems slightly longer than the leaves.
They are dainty plants that require a well protected shady position with ample water and are frost resistant accepting temperatures to - 7°C. They will flower from seed in the first year and flower each season afterwards.
