These poppys are tough as nails, they take any soil type, and while young do require a good watering however they will be able to tollerate periods of dry once established.
They will usually self seed yearly, so do be mindfull that when planting poppys of any variety, they will come back yearly with self seeding, so ensure you choose the right spot in your garden for a yearly display of colour, or otherwise plant them in pots or tubs and clip off the seed heads before they dry & self seed.
